Consent is off by default
Until a visitor chooses to accept, the website signals to browsers and to any connected service that storage for advertising and analytics is denied. The choice made on the banner is remembered, so that the question is not repeated on every page. A visitor who ignores the banner is treated as having refused.
Analytics and advertising tags
At present, no analytics service and no advertising network is active on this website. A consent placeholder is included so that any such tool added in the future would remain inactive until the visitor agrees. This page would be amended before any such change took effect.
The embedded map
The contact page displays a map supplied by Google. It loads as soon as the page opens, whatever the visitor's choice on the banner, and Google may set cookies of its own when it does so. Visitors who prefer to avoid this may skip the contact page and copy the address from the footer into a map application.
Managing consent
A visitor can change a decision at any time by clearing the site data in the browser, after which the banner will appear again. Most browsers also permit cookies to be blocked for individual sites. Blocking the cookies used by the map may prevent it from displaying correctly.
How long records last
The two records described below remain in the browser until the visitor removes them. Cookies set by the map follow the schedule of its supplier, which the house does not control, and are described in that company's published policy.
Cookies and local storage
Strictly speaking, the two records listed in the table are not cookies but entries in local storage, a feature of the browser that works in a similar way. They are never sent to the house with a request for a page, and they are read only by the page that you are looking at. For convenience, this notice uses the word cookie for both.
Third parties
Apart from the map supplier, no third party sets or reads anything on this website. There are no share buttons for other platforms, no embedded videos and no advertising scripts. If any were added, they would appear in the table, and the banner would ask again before they were permitted to run.
Questions
Anyone with a question about these records may telephone the house or write to the address in the footer. We will explain, in plain language, what each record does and how to remove it, and we will do so without requiring a reason for the enquiry.
